Sumrell Sugg Managing Partner Scott Hart was recently re-elected to the State Bar Council for a second three-year term. The North Carolina State Bar is directed by 61 councilors, elected by the attorneys in their judicial districts. The lawyers in District 4 (Craven, Carteret, and Pamlico Counties) have selected Scott to serve as their representative on the State Bar Council for a second term. At the State Bar, Scott serves on a number of committees, including the Grievance Committee, and the committee focused on providing legal services to military personnel in the State.
In addition, Scott was named a “North Carolina Super Lawyer” for the 14th straight year. This year, Scott had the added distinction of being listed by Super Lawyers as one of the top 100 lawyers in the State of North Carolina.
Scott focuses his law practice on civil litigation, mediation, and arbitration.
