Sumrell Sugg recently announced that one of its litigation attorneys, Derrick Bailey, argued a case before the North Carolina Supreme Court. We are very proud to announce that on August 19, the Court issued its ruling, and unanimously ruled on behalf of our client in the case. The lawsuit, Providence Volunteer Fire Department v. the Town of Weddington, et al., included issues of legislative immunity for elected officials in North Carolina municipalities.
