Frederick H. Bailey is appointed to Board of Directors for Craven County Habitat for Humanity

Updated: May 22, 2019

We are pleased to announce that Frederick H. Bailey has recently been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for Craven County’s Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Bailey has served on their Homeowner Selection Committee for several years, so his involvement with this organization is not new.  Since Hurricane Florence, Habitat for Humanity has been even more active in our community. Assessments have shown damage to all 62 of the Habitat homes in Craven County with 60 of them suffering mild to major damage. Help is needed in the following areas:

  • Roof repair

  • Crawl space inspection and repair

  • Siding replacement

  • Some internal repair due to water leaks.

Habitat for Humanity of Craven County works in partnership with families, volunteers, donors and the community to build homes. They work to transform neighborhoods through revitalization, education, innovative development, partnerships, and long term relationships with families and the community. Currently, Habitat is concentrating on fixing the damages to two homes that were flooded with major damage and completing 3 homes already in progress for selected families.

Sumrell Sugg is honored to have a dedicated team of attorneys who are always willing to help our community where needed. Thank you, Frederick, for your continued service in the Craven County area helping families get back together in a home they deserve to have. Congratulations on your appointment; we are proud of you!
