Mediation

Mediation is often used to settle disputes, often as a successful alternative to actual trial. It involves negotiation among parties to a dispute under the guidance of a trained mediator either before and even sometimes during litigation. In North Carolina it is mandatory that all suits enter the process of mediation with a state-certified mediator.

Sumrell Sugg attorneys regularly handle mediations in state and federal courts, as well as for the North Carolina Industrial Commission. Attorney Scott C. Hart is a certified mediator and has extensive experience in creating win-win agreements among parties in dispute, both pre-court and during litigation. In such cases, clients enjoy meaningful savings on fees and other costs, as well as enjoying a satisfactory resolution of their issues.
